First read the Lee Bennett Hopkins poem below and then try to recreate it yourself by replacing the nouns with people, places and things of your own choosing.  As the writer, you decide how much rhyming you’d like to do.

Next, here’s another creative idea to consider.  What kind of poem could you create by replacing the word “good” with different adjectives?  Export the sample poem into a word processor (copy, paste) and try it!
